Mount Pleasant Home Addition

Set on a generous lot shaded by mature oaks, this Mount Pleasant residence is undergoing a substantial structural expansion — extending the footprint of an existing raised Lowcountry-style home with a precisely engineered column foundation.

The new addition is supported by a series of custom CMU columns built to integrate seamlessly with the home's original elevated profile. Each column is sited, leveled, and laid in coursed block by our in-house team, with hurricane-rated tie-downs and load paths coordinated to South Carolina coastal building standards.

Our scope on this project includes site preparation, foundation engineering, structural framing, exterior cladding to match the existing residence, and full coordination with the homeowners and design team through every phase. The completed addition will read as original to the home — quietly extending its living area without compromising the architecture that drew the family there in the first place.
